Es gibt mal wieder eine neue Firmware für alle Xbox 360 Wasabi Nutzer. Durch das neue Beta Update wird ein Fehler behoben das der Ausgelesene DVD Key nicht permanent gespeichert bleibt. Außerdem bringt das Firmware Update eine Funktion mit das iXtreme LT 3 Discs direkt auf die Wasabi 360 HDD zu kopieren/ripppen. Mal schauen wann und wie das xk3y Team da nun nachziehen wird.

Da drauf warten alle Besitzer einer XBox360 Slim mit einem Lite On 16D4S Laufwerk. C4Eva hat über seinen Blog nun die neuesten iXtreme Flashes veröffentlicht. Unterstützt werden nun folgende LiteOn´s: 0272(9504) /0225 /0225u /0401 / 1071 (Slim). Der passende JungleFlasher in der der Version  0.1.92beta (304) wurde natürlich auch im gleichen Zuge mit Veröffentlicht so das man die FW gleich Flashen kann.

Topology Data

When ap25 was first introduced I devised a way of calculating any challenge which I called the silver bullet which I made reference to along time ago. This was withheld until it was absolutely necessary. It was easier to replay the fixed challenges.

With unique per console ap25 challenges it has become necessary to use the silver bullet.

A series of measurements are taken across the disk. This topology data is then used to calculate a response to any ap25 challenge.

It is very important that the drive used to create the topology data is reliable at reading discs as bad topology data equals bad ap25 responses.

Liteon drives using 0800 v3 seem to be more accurate for this purpose. Only ap25 enabled titles require topology data. Activation of ap25 on older non-ap25 games although technically possible is highly unlikely.

Currently topology data for xgd3 titles are similar and topology data from one xgd3 title will pass on another xgd3 title although this is not advisable.

Per title title topology data is best as there are slight differences between titles and newer titles could have different topology than existing ones.

Gestern noch angekündigt, heute ist die neue Firmware für den Wasabi 360 erschienen. Mit Automatischen Drive Key auslesen für das Liteon 16D4S.
Des weiteren wurde auch eine aktualisierte AP25 Disc Profil Datenbank mit in die neue Firmware aufgenommen.

Automatic drive key extraction

Automatic drive key extraction for all Xbox Slim Liteon 16D4S drives is now supported, and support for the various Xbox
Phat drives is currently under development. If you are using an Xbox Slim with Liteon 16D4S, then there is no longer any
need to manually extract your drive key and place the key.bin file on your HDD. All you need to do is have Wasabi 360
Ultra extract the key from your drive once, and then the key is saved to the Wasabi’s onboard storage for future use. Each
subsequent time you turn on your Xbox 360, the previously saved drive key will be automatically retrieved and used to load
game ISO’s. The procedure for automatic key extraction is simple:

1) With your Xbox 360 powered off, hold down the LEFT button on the Wasabi 360 Ultra control panel and power on your Xbox
360. Keep the button held down until you see output on your TV
2) Once the Xbox 360 has booted to the dashboard, you can navigate to the “virtual ISO” menu system as you would normally
do to select games, and view the result of the key extraction operation
3) If the operation was successful (which should always be the case) then you should power off your Xbox 360. Your drive
key is now saved to Wasabi 360 Ultra’s onboard storage. Power the Xbox 360 back on to enjoy your game ISOs

About the new AP25 system

Starting from this release, the old system of including a static AP25 challenge/response table has been retired in favour
of a new system which is able to correctly respond to any random AP25 challenge based on a “profile” corresponding to the
game being played. This allows Wasabi 360 Ultra to fully support the latest Xbox 360 dashboard, as well as the console
specific dae.bin updates that are being pushed to consoles via Xbox Live. The only disadvantage of this system compared to
the old static table is that you must have the disc profile corresponding to each AP25 game you wish to use. Fortunately,
most XGD3 titles share a common profile and thus, these will work out of the box with this firmware. However, older XGD2
titles utilising AP25 protection generally have their own unique profile which must be obtained before you can use such
games. Disc profiles are stored in a database file called “ap25db.bin” which must be placed in the “wasabi” folder on
your HDD.

We have included the following disc profiles with this firmware release:

* XGD3 common profile
* Assassins Creed – Brotherhood
* Call of Duty – Black Ops
* Call of Duty – Modern Warfare 2
* Fable III
* Halo – Reach
* Need for Speed – Hot Pursuit

If you try to launch a game which does not have a corresponding profile in ap25db.bin, then your Xbox 360 will display an
“unrecognized disc” error message. This WILL NOT flag your console for a ban.

We will continue adding game profiles with each release. We will also be releasing tools allowing anybody to create their
own disc profile dumps over the coming days, stay tuned for more information.

Das Team Xecuter hat ein kleines aber sehr nützliches Quick Solder Board entwickelt, welches den RGH Moddern eine Menge Arbeit abnimmt.

Xecuter Post QSB für Xbox360 SLim:

Wenn Du bereits einen RGH Chip, wie z.B. den CoolRunner eingebaut hast, dann wirst Du bereits damit vertraut sein, dass man unter Umständen viele verschiedene Kabellängen für den CPU_RST Draht ausprobieren muss um die optimale Boot-Zeit von unter 5 Sekunden zu erreichen.

In den meisten Fällen ist die Kabellänge von bis zu 50cm und die Positionierung des Kabels sehr ausschlaggebend.

Das Team Xecuter hat hierfür eine sehr einfache, aber elegante Lösung. Auf dem Post QSB befinden sich serpentinenförmige Leiterbahnen, die man an verschiedenen Längen abgreifen kann, so dass man nicht mehr verschiedene Kabellängen zurechtschneiden muss. Der blaue CPU_RST Draht muss ganz einfach auf 8cm gekürzt werden und dann kann man folgende Längen auswählen: 50cm, 47cm, 41cm, 38cm, 35cm, 32cm & 29cm.

Wie versprochen hat C4eva über die Weihnachtstage die LT+3.0 Firmware veröffentlicht, vorerst für alle Lite-On Phat und BenQ Laufwerke. Passend zur neuen Firmware ist auch der neue XBox Backup Creator in der Version 2.9.0.345 erschienen.

Mit der LT+3.0 laufen die XGD3 Games auch mit dem neuen DAE Update, allerdings müssen die Games entweder erneut gepatcht oder mit dem neuen Backup Creator nochmal vom Original ausgelesen werden.
